Amb. Ekramy El Zaghat: Egypt is more capable of protecting its national security than anyone imagines, and Egypt’s decision stems from within
Ambassador Ekramy El Zaghat , the President of World Fund for Development and Planning - WFDP , condemned the repeated statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who called for the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and their resettlement in Egypt and Jordan.
Ambassador Ekramy El Zaghat, president of the Fund and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, emphasized in a statement issued today that the Fund, through all its branches worldwide, supports the decisions of both Egypt and Jordan. He noted that the Egyptian government has always reaffirmed Egypt’s clear and consistent stance regarding the Palestinian cause.
President of the World Fund for Development and Planning added that if the American threats or hints are related to the aid Egypt receives, the Fund is also ready to support Egypt and encourage investments that can make its profits independent of aid. He called for noninterference in Egypt’s internal affairs, stressing that Egypt’s and the Arab world’s decisions are rooted in internal will and cannot be influenced.
El Zaghat also affirmed that Egypt is fully capable of safeguarding its national security and protecting its lands more than anyone might imagine, adding that Egypt, both its leadership and people, will never abandon the Palestinian cause, which it has supported since time immemorial, despite the immense challenges surrounding the entire Arab region.
